Phase 1: Project Setup

Develop Project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)

All online and offline activities will be tracked by logging in WBS.

Establish Project Charter (1 man-day)

Phase 2: Training and Documentation

CMMI Overview Training (2 man-days)

  • Key process stakeholders - 12 participants
  • Execution of Virtual Training – 1 man-days
  • Planning & Preparation for training - 0.5 man-days
  • Participant Self-Assessment Exam + Exercises - 0.5 man-days

Preparation of CMMI V3.0 ML3 QMS Documents (25 man-days)

Comprehensive documentation aligned with CMMI requirements.

The QMS documentation provided will not be fully customized as per the client organization processes; rather it will be a limited alignment of standard QMS documents set of ABC Company.

Phase 3 & 4: RGS Documentation

RGS Project Documentation (40 man-days)

  • Generation of Random sample from CMMI Institute.
  • Preparation of Project documents as selected in RGS.

Dependency on TechGrowth Solutions to provide timely and adequate data and review of the delivered process data (e.g. project data, process improvement data, project plans, metrics information, etc.)

Phase 5: Final Preparation

CMMI V3.0 based Objective Evidence Database Preparation Training and Verification (1 man-day)

Training on preparing and organizing evidence for the appraisal.

Appraisal Preparedness Training (3 man-days)

Comprehensive training to prepare the team for the formal CMMI appraisal.

Project Management and co-ordination service (5 man-days)

  • Change Management (training participants, meeting participants, etc.)
  • Co-ordination with OU, SEPG and QA teams for meetings.
  • Managing change of dates and schedules of activities, WBS and plan updates.
  • Additional calls for consulting issues, follow ups, and unplanned meetings.

Decision Making

Major decisions should be discussed between TechGrowth Solutions Sponsor and Delivery Manager.

Documentation

Queries and responses to be formally documented. Critical dependencies to be identified and documented.

Response Time Guidelines

  • Unplanned calls may not be responded to immediately. Queries should be compiled by TechGrowth Solutions SPOC and sent once a week.
  • Small queries (e.g. technical queries) - reply in 1 day over email/call.
  • Big queries (e.g. RGS, CAS, appraisal-related) - reply in 1 week over email/call.

Monthly Update Protocol

Structured approach for monthly governance calls.

Consultant discusses internally and responds.

Delay Management Protocol

Approach for handling project delays.

All delays shall be logged in the WBS from both sides with 'Delay' mentioned in the status.

Both parties are aware of the accumulated delays and its impact on the overall timelines.

Focus to get the current tasks on hand to be completed soon, rather than negotiate the final timelines.

Immediate priorities for the first month of implementation.

  • To receive the PID (Project Initiation Document) documents from the TechGrowth Solutions team
